Electric door drive for automatic machine doors and all cnc machine tools
The engineers at Langer & Laumann are able to draw on many years of experience and know-how in the development of door drives for passenger elevators. The new generation of TSG Safety door drives is certified by TÜV (TÜV-Nord) according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 (machine safety) Performance Level d. Thus, our new decentralized security system for machine safety doors complies with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
The TSG Safety door drive for machine safety doors is a compact, maintenance-free and splash-proof IP54 DC motor with worm gear. The drive is quiet and effective due to its low self-locking.
The TSG Safety electronics is available in an internal and external housing option.
Internal: Compact IP21 housing for mounting on top-hat rail or mounting plate in the control cabinet.
Extern: Splash-proof IP54 housing for direct installation in the machine tool. The electronic housing is installed close to the engine above or below the door.
The machine door drive has built-in obstacle detection and automatic reversing, so that an immediate change of direction is triggered if the door encounters an obstacle in the machine-passage and prevents irreversible damage. We have developed the TSG Safety Web Interface, a parameterisation and control software that is frequently used in the machine tool industry and allows the easy and intuitive commissioning of your safety machine door.

We also offer you our support in the design-in of mechanics as well as the electrical connection. The security system includes the technology to apply a safe speed and power limitation according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 (Machine safety) Performance Level d for horizontal and vertical doors.
The door actuator TSG Safety is universally applicable for all horizontal and vertical machine safety doors and lift gates. Through its controlled system, the automatic door drive allows a quiet and smooth opening and closing of the machine safety door. The cabling effort is minimal and the integration into the existing control cabinet or mounting directly to the door operator is straightforward.

Door automation with performance level d door drives for machine protection doors and machine guards, can be used in machining centers, lathes-, milling machines and machine tool spindles of any kind.
There is no need for light barriers, tow-hand operation, additional switches, safety edges or other sensors with our machine safety door drives. The technology of the TSG Safety supports the implementation of a safe speed and power limitation for horizontal and vertical machine doors up to 1000kg. The controller has a built-in collision detection and can also be operated manually when switched off, so there is no danger to the operator by inclusion. The TSG Safety door drive has the Safety Integrity Level (SIL2) and Performance Level d Category 3 and includes the following protection functions for machine doors:
- SS1 (Safe Stop 1)
- SLT (Safely Limited Torque)
- STO (Safe Torque Off)
- SLS (Safely Limited Speed)
Our door drive is resistant to all common coolants and lubricants, has a wear-resistant toothed belt drive and is therefore virtually maintenance free. On machine tools, CNC machining center and CNC lathes and milling machines with existing mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic safety doors the TSG Safety is easy to retrofit with motor and tooth belt.

The TSG Safety Cable connects the protective door drive to the electronics. The available TSG cable lengths are 2.5, 5, 10, 15 and 20[m].
